In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life; it goes on
Words from a well known poet; the one who taught us that we have miles to go before we sleep; the one who told us that he took the road not taken and that made all the difference. Robert Frost.
A simple ideology. Not many of us believe in it though. Or should I say we don’t etch it with precision in our hearts and minds? We let our hearts sway in the pains of the past. We let ourselves become slaves of all things that happened to be not so right. We let ourselves be defined by what was a mere event in our lives.
Time heals everything. The memories do stay. Life has its way of bouncing back. You may ask how and when. Some of us cling to our sorrows like those days will never end, don’t we? And we make those pains the central character of our lives. Time heals everything they say. Does it? The time to heal is never the same for all. Maybe it is the depth of the wound or the maybe the strength of your mind. Or something else. I may not know.
Life goes on. With every change, no matter how small it is, there is a period of discomfort. A period. That is about it. You may want to go back to your golden era. But there is no going back. There is only moving ahead. Life will let you only if you let yourself.
So wouldn’t you want to let life present you with new surprises?
